Still Mine: The movie. James Cromwell in the perfect Libertarian/Prepper lead role Posted: 07 Jun 2014 06:37 AM PDT The trailer: Based on the true story of an over-reaching government messing up peoples lives for no reason but sick tyranny.
Cop smells pot. Decides to break into and destroy a pickup, and leaves a note on the windshield Posted: 07 Jun 2014 02:34 AM PDT Matthew Heller was returning to his truck after having attended a Juicy J concert in Ybor City, Florida last February when he noticed something was wrong. As Mr. Heller told WFLA News Channel 8, "I come outside, jump in the truck, and the whole thing's been torn apart inside, wires had been yanked out, the paneling had some scratches on it…" One might think that maybe it was a burglar who had been inside his truck, but nope. It was the police, and Mr. Heller knows that because they left a note saying exactly what they did.
Another White House Invite Blown Off: A D-Day Veteran Politely Declines Obama Invitation Posted: 06 Jun 2014 11:53 PM PDT This week, George received a call from the White House, who said they knew he would be over in France during D-Day, and wondered if he would attend a private meeting the White House was arranging for veterans with President Obama. George thought about it for awhile and concluded he just couldn't. "I have so many issues with the president's policies, including the most recent ones," he told me ruefully. "I just couldn't convince myself to do it."

Vodafone Cell Network (Second Largest in the World) Tapped by Six Unidentified Governments Posted: 06 Jun 2014 07:29 PM PDT By Kate Holton and Sarah Young London, Fri Jun 6, 2014 (Reuters) - The world's second-biggest mobile phone company Vodafone revealed government agencies in six unidentified countries use its network to listen to and record customers' calls, showing the scale of telecom eavesdropping around the world. The United States and Britain both came in for global scrutiny and criticism after Edward Snowden, a former contractor with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), disclosed their vast phone, email and internet surveillance operations. But Vodafone (VOD.L), which has 400 million customers in countries across Europe, Africa and Asia, said in its "Disclosure Report" on Friday that countries in its reach are using similar practices. While most governments needed legal notices to tap into customers' communications, there were six countries where that was not the case, it said.
Ron Paul Revolution in the Movies: 'Alongside Night' Posted: 06 Jun 2014 07:22 PM PDT Revolution: Ron Paul's call for populist uprising, gold standard, gets top movie billing The Ron Paul "Revolution" is making its debut in a new political thriller about what happens when the federal government loses control of the economy and foreign policy and is met with a second American revolt. "Alongside Night," an independent film being shown to small audience around the nation, features the libertarian folk hero cheering a return to the gold standard and railing against an out-of-control government, and a star in Kevin Sorbo who echoes many of Paul's themes of the past 20 years. Sorbo, who plays free-market economist "Martin Vreeland" in the movie, "encapsulates a lot of the ideas that Ron Paul is talking about," said J. Neil Schulman, who directed the movie based on his book and screenplay.
Beware of Covert Propaganda to Sway Public Opinion Posted: 06 Jun 2014 02:38 PM PDT Since reading about the history of subliminal methods of media propaganda and its use in foreign newspapers by the CIA in the 70's and 80s*, I have started noticing its covert employment here in the US particularly with Headlines. For example, last week the following piece was published in the Tampa Tribune sponsored by PolitiFact.com, presumably a "fact checking" company used by newspapers. http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/stateroundup/how-many-...
Posted: 06 Jun 2014 02:05 PM PDT A heart touching music video, worthy of it's own thread. Alan Jackson sings a story about America's working Mom & Pop and how the corporations are killing them. God bless the little man. Please forward to others. It's a message all Americans must not only see, but FEEL. Thanks.
