Roger Waters Shares Letter To Neil Young About Israel

Posted: 14 Jul 2014 08:52 AM PDT

"On July 17 Neil Young & Crazy Horse are set to play Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, Israel as part of the group's current tour. Back in January, when rumors that Neil would perform in Israel started to gain steam, Roger Waters sent a letter to Young via his manager, Elliott Roberts, urging him not to play the Middle Eastern country.

Young never responded to the ex-Pink Floyd bassist's note, so nearly six months later Waters has shared the contents of his letter on Facebook:

Dear Neil Young,

There are rumors flying about that you are considering doing shows in Tel Aviv this year.

Rick Perry Is Dead Wrong

By SEN. RAND PAUL
July 14, 2014

There are many things I like about Texas Gov. Rick Perry, including his stance on the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. But apparently his new glasses haven't altered his perception of the world, or allowed him to see it any more clearly.

There are obviously many important events going on in the world right now, but with 60,000 foreign children streaming across the Texas border, I am surprised Governor Perry has apparently still found time to mischaracterize and attack my foreign policy.

Rick Perry, Neocon Tool – His pathetic "comeback" is going to go nowhere - fast

The media hates Republicans, and so naturally they're elevating Texas Governor Rick Perry to the status of a potential 2016 GOP presidential contender who must be taken seriously. After his last embarrassing run – embarrassing not only for him, but for the much-maligned state of Texas (see the video above) – one would think he'd put his presidential aspirations in the back of the garage, along with that Stairmaster he never uses. But no: dumber than a steer who's been zapped by a cattle-prod and still won't move, Perry is going along with the joke. He's been busy lately inveigling himself into the good graces of those Republican grandees who think they can dictate whom the candidate will be. And he's doing that by taking on the prospective candidate the GOP Establishment is determined to stop at any cost: Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky).

Drafting Guys Over 60

Passing this along because I found it amusing. Hope it gives smiles and cheer to all of you. :)

1. I did not edit. Not sure about last paragraph, but kept it in. Maybe the women can give input?

2. In reality, could this ever work?

Thanks. Enjoy! :)

Drafting Guys Over 60. This is funny & obviously written by a Former Soldier... New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards.

Daily Paul Gardens: The jrd Edition

Posted: 13 Jul 2014 06:54 PM PDT

My friend's parents have somewhere between 10 and 15 (I always forget exactly how much, but it is in that general range) acres of property. Her Mom is a master gardener and every summer since high school I have spent a lot of time on that property helping with gardening and various landscaping tasks. String-trimming, rototilling, mowing, branch cutting…the whole works. Her parents are getting older and doing a lot less on the land and the past 3 summers they have given me a lot more responsibility and land to work with. This is what I have going on this summer.

First; the flowers.

And again...SWAT Unit Terrorizes Family and Kills Pets Over Marijuana

Posted: 13 Jul 2014 04:24 PM PDT

A Minnesota family is trying to understand why a SWAT team killed their beloved pets during a no-knock raid earlier this week.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, the home of Camille Perry and Larry Lee Arman was breached with a battering ram, and strange men charged in with rifles and opened fire on their pets.

Mr. Arman, owner of a towing business, says he was laying asleep when he heard the front door breached and then the gunfire.

"The first thing I heard was 'boom,'" he recalled to KMSP. "Bop, bop, bop, bop, bop. Right in front of us."
