| Obama Meets with Apollo 11 Astronauts... Media Blackout Posted: 23 Jul 2014 10:13 AM PDT Obama holds private meeting with Apollo 11 crew members Strange, indeed. Why celebrate the 45th anniversary of The Coolest Thing America Has Ever Done... in private? You would think there would be the usual Executive posing, grandstanding, and credit-taking. White House claims it was a "scheduling issue". And we all know how "transparent" they are. :/ In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, President Barack Obama hosted surviving members of the mission's crew at a private meeting in the Oval Office on Tuesday. During the White House event, the president met with astronauts Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin, as well as Carol Armstrong, the widow of Neil Armstrong. The famed astronaut died in 2012. |

| IRS tech experts say Lerner’s hard drive only ‘scratched,’ not destroyed Posted: 22 Jul 2014 08:48 PM PDT "House investigators said Tuesday that the computer hard drive of ex-agency official Lois Lerner — a key figure in the IRS targeting scandal — was only "scratched," not irreparably damaged, as Americans have been led to believe." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/07/22/house-investigato... |

| Japan Building "Huge Drone Fleet"? Is It Propaganda? You Decide... Posted: 22 Jul 2014 01:37 PM PDT Check this out, Japan is going to spend "¥3 billion (approx $372 million) in the coming decade to drastically expand its virtually non-existent military unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program" http://www.dailypaul.com/322845/japan-building-huge-drone-fleet OK, let's see if I got this right - they don't have a drone fleet now, and they are going to spend about 37 million a year over the next 10 years to build one? Contrast that with the US drone fleet - "In the next decade, defense spending on known medium- and large-size drones will be nearly $40 billion" And we already had some 800 of them flying, in 2011! |

| The Internet Sales Tax is Back - And this time it might pass Posted: 22 Jul 2014 12:23 PM PDT By J.D. Harrison | July 21 When the Senate passed legislation last year allowing states broader latitude to collect sales on online purchases, the proposal was immediately cast aside in the House — and there is has remained, stuck on a shelf. Until now. Suddenly, even with the midterm elections nearing, the bill's supporters believe they have found the perfect opportunity to try to push it through the lower chamber. The House last week easily approved a bill dubbed the Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act that would renew a longstanding ban on taxing access to the Internet. Considered a must-pass proposal, the legislation would prohibit state and local governments from charging residents fees to browse the Web. |
