New NSA revelations; "I think there's a second leaker out there"

Posted: 03 Jul 2014 07:51 PM PDT

According to new NSA revelations, if you're interested in enjoying online privacy--or even simply research the topic--you're likely a target of NSA surveillance. Equally intriguing: Reviewing the new leaks, technology security expert Bruce Schneier concludes they didn't come from Snowden: "I think there's a second leaker out there."

Police Arrest Paraplegic Man For Considering Himself a Pedestrian

Posted: 03 Jul 2014 07:33 PM PDT

So much of this lately the stories are running together.

A male officer ordered him to stand up, Dodson recalled. "I said, 'I can't stand up. That's why I'm in this wheelchair.'"

A second officer literally slammed the paralyzed man face-first on the ground and handcuffed him behind his back, the Roanoke Times reported.

Mr. Dodson was charged with driving the wrong way, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail on a stretcher and his scooter was impounded. His bond was set at $1,000.

EXIT 13A - A Control Tower Diary.

Here's what Jack Cashill says:

"For all the seriousness of its subject matter--namely, air safety--this may be the funniest, most politically incorrect book I have read since the thought police took over the publishing industry. Although set in and around air traffic control towers, Exit 13A speaks to the cowardly abuse of power by authorities everywhere. Not necessarily a book to read on your next flight, but otherwise put Mr. Shields' book on the top of your list.

I Thought FEMA Camps were for Housing Illegals?

Posted: 03 Jul 2014 04:38 PM PDT

If you recall, when the Totalitarian Collectivist government was questioned about the reason for creating all these FEMA Camps around the country, they stated they were to house the overflow of illegal immigrants waiting for trial and/or deportation. So, the question needs to be addressed, why aren't these camps being used for this mass invasion of immigrants, instead of letting many loose in our country waiting for a hearing they will never attend, and housing them on military bases or other venues waiting for process?

To My Daily Paul Family: A Song of Hope

Posted: 03 Jul 2014 04:31 PM PDT

I've long wanted to tell you guys how much I love you. I want all of you to know this Love I've found. The Truth and freedom I know. I'm accused around these parts of being a 'fire and brimstone' Christian. That's okay--people didn't understand Jesus either. If an outsider heard my prayers, he'd probably laugh out loud, "Lord, help Magwan77, please show yourself to FreedomNinja, Show the truth to SmudgePot" and the list goes on. My husband even gets in on the action. :) Please know Michael Nystrom,
I appreciate this website, and all of you here, I do love you.

The Spirit of Independence: How Culture Drives Politics

Posted: 03 Jul 2014 02:21 PM PDT

To a first approximation, American political history before the 18th century is British political history. As most American schoolchildren know, in the 17th century, John Locke crystallized the idea that human law should reflect Natural Law, but the idea that Law must serve the well-being of the people on whom it is imposed goes back at least to the Anglo-Saxons.
